DASHBOARD REDESING
I redesigned the client dashboard for Authenticate, aligning it with the company’s renewed product ecosystem and visual identity. The goal was to simplify complexity, improve usability and information architecture, and ensure a consistent experience across web and app environments.
Year :
2022
Industry :
security
Client :
Allthenticate
Project Duration :
2 months

Problem :
The existing dashboard was dense, visually cluttered, and difficult to interpret.
Users struggled to locate relevant data quickly, and the lack of hierarchy made it challenging to focus on key metrics.
Spacing, accessibility, and readability issues affected the product’s perceived quality, while inconsistencies across the web and mobile versions fragmented the user experience.
From a design perspective, the challenge was to bring coherence and cognitive simplicity to a highly data-driven interface — without altering the underlying technical structure already deployed in code.

Solution :
The redesign started with a strategic UX approach focused on clarity, hierarchy, and alignment with the brand’s updated system.
The process included:
Screen Mapping & UX Audit: Documented every existing screen and user flow to identify redundancies and pain points.
Information Architecture Review: Reorganized content according to user priorities, creating a more intuitive visual hierarchy.
Wireframes & Wireflows: Built low-fidelity prototypes to validate structure, flow, and data visibility before investing in high-fidelity design.
Client Collaboration: Iterated with the client’s internal team to ensure that business goals and data logic aligned with the proposed UX.
UI Redesign & Brand Integration: Applied the updated design language — spacing, typography, colors, and component rules — ensuring full consistency with the redesigned web and authentication app.
The result was a clean, modular dashboard that balances visual simplicity with functional depth, improving both usability and brand perception.

Challenge :
The main challenge was improving usability without reengineering the product.
Because the dashboard’s backend and component logic were already live, the redesign had to work within the constraints of the existing codebase.
This required close collaboration with development teams to ensure feasibility while introducing a new visual and interaction logic that elevated the experience.
Maintaining harmony across all Authenticate products — web, app, and dashboard — demanded careful coordination between design systems and implementation.
Impact & Learnings :
The new dashboard brought structure and readability to complex data displays, improving user comprehension and navigation efficiency.
Key outcomes included:
Clearer data hierarchy and visual grouping of key metrics.
Improved readability and spacing, reducing cognitive load.
Consistent UI standards across the Authenticate ecosystem.
Faster decision-making through simplified data visualization.
Beyond visual improvement, the project redefined how information architecture supports trust and efficiency in a data-heavy SaaS environment.
